Transport back in time and relive some of the city’s darkest moments at the York Dungeon! Providing a thrilling and interactive experience, enjoy 10 immersive shows with special effects and surprises that’ll keep you on edge throughout the experience!

Be welcomed into the dungeon by Father/Sister Abostus before making your way to the Land of the Vikings! You’ll find yourself immersed in the heart of the Viking invasion in 866AD where you’ll meet a warrior from Viking Age York. With some frighteningly funny special effects, you’ll be leaving with a shock!

As you make your way through the dungeons, you’ll meet the infamous Guy Fawkes along the way! Learn the truth behind what happened on the 5th of November 1605 and the conspirators behind the Gunpowder Plot!

Enter the Torture Chamber and meet the terrifying torturer of York Castle! Armed with different torture devices, make sure to answer if you’re asked a question! While you’re here, you’ll learn about the real tortures that people endured in the past.
Step inside a darkened carriage and meet unpleasant characters as you feel the bumps of the carriage. With sudden frights along the way, keep an eye out for one of York’s most notorious characters!
