Don’t forget to visit the largest room in the palace, the Great Gallery. Here you’ll find a collection of portraits of real kings and the one queen of Scotland. Originally, there were 111 portraits, but many were damaged in 1746 after the battle of Falkirk. Look closely and you’ll see sword marks on some of the portraits!
